Columbia River Gillnetter

This museum exhibit model is displayed at The Washington State History Museum. This is a historic replica of an early gillnetter typical of what would appear on the Columbia River from the late 1860s until the common use of motorized craft. In its day there would have been from 500 to over 2500 of these boats fishing on the Columbia at any time.
