We constructed this highly detailed engineering scale model of the ice-breaker Research Vessel Sikuliaq for the naval architect of the ship, Glosten Associates. The hull of the model ship was cut on a CNC, the superstructure and many details hand-made from acrylic and styrene, with the remaining detailed parts such as cranes and lifeboats being polyjet 3D printed. The model is displayed at Glosten Associates office in Seattle.
