Here is a great example of how an industrial scale model can clarify processes to clear a path to project completion. This water pump platform was designed to help provide a consistent water supply to the Seattle area during drier periods. The pump is on a floating platform that pumps water from the Morse Lake reservoir into the supply channel. The actual project won EPA’s WATERS award. AECOM Engineering commissioned the prototype model which was used to generate momentum for the concept from local governments and promote public support.
