Sea Launch Platform

This is an engineering model of the self-propelled launch platform, formally named the LP Odyssey, for the Sea Launch program. The launch platform design was developed from a mobile oil drilling rig. This project was intended to bring satellite technology to a greater number of companies. The superstructure includes an environmentally controlled hangar to store a rocket for sailing before its launch. Our scale model of this huge craft includes one of the rockets ready for launch.
